Not much new or exciting here in sudbury ont can.Went and watched click at our support group meeting on wed.it seems that 1 person went behind the rest of the groups back and stopped the student nurses from attending the group,so we pit things back into order so all is well with the group oncve again!peace all,and hey if there are any HIV+ peoples that l;ivew in sudbury ont ,we welcome one and all if yer HIV+ poz.its at access aids sudbury 111 elm st sudbury ont can suite #205

well things are starting to heat up as aids day gets closer and closer & now with there being forty mil of us,wow it just boggles the mind eh folks?all oan's are supposed to be following the GIPA princilples,hiring HIV+ persons.Sudbury's aso doesnt have any HIV persons workin for it at all.I would like to work there,but am yet unsure of myself and just wjhat i would be able to contibute to the service.I already started an HIV supportgroup that meets every wed at access aids at 1:30 anyways i have lost alot of friends to this aids thing,and am losing more all the time.prayers to all my fellow warriors out there eh~!

Well HIV is on the Rise the World Over

Sad vut true but the UN has just released stats that brings this into cold hard truth,& with the Vaccine still 5-10 yrs away,a cure 10-25 yrs before it is made available to everyone.there is HIV-a,hivB,hiv-c all the way to f,in North America it is mainly theHIVb virus.the Virus mutates all the time and this is why a vaccine is so hard.while i have found that since i have tested Pos for HIV,it has opened alot of doors that i wouldntve had the chance to get into.I now do talks at schools,group homes ect.I have done a video for world aids day breakfast at sudbury's Howard Johnsons 7-am -9-am,i have also done an interveiw with cbc radio canada,and have to go back again on monday for more indepth discussian about crack cokecaine in sudbury and why it is so readlily available now.So with all this i still have to sign in on Mon and Fri at the cop shop,and i also have to go to probation as i am going to be charged with breaching my conditional sentence,and will be back inside untill june when it is over,and this sucks so large,i have been in for a few xmas's and they all have been the worst time,as you get suicidal thoughts all the time at that time of season.stay tough and leave it in GODs hands ,thanks Jehova GOD for sending your son Jesus Christ,jesus name i pray Amen!~peace all!~

Well now i am bloggin here as well as a few othwer places and i will use this opurtunity to blog about HIV-AIDS issues and what living with hiv is like. Currently i am single male 43 yrs old.I have had hiv since 2001 and have done talks at group homes schools and universitys on safe sex and living with hiv.I try to take a harm reduction approach,promote safe sex and condom use.I am currently trying to start a non prophit charity called The Caravan of Hope,which will consist of me along with 11 other hiv+ persons from all wals of life and all races,we will stop in cities and devides into teams (12devided by 4=3)this is so we can talk to as many schools in each city as possable,i still need 6 more hiv+ persons and a RV or Tour Bus or Motorhome anyone looking to join me just email me at jamesgsud@hotmail.com or try writing to me at james gough c/o caravan of hope ,715 burton ave #2sudbury ont can. p3c 4L3 GODBless all those out there still fighting their own battles,peace all !!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

WEll its happened once again that i copy and paste is not working here,so again i have to type out my pleads and prayers to the public ,YOUS!I want to get a group(12)of HIV+ persons to go with me across canada stopping at every city and splitting into groups of 3,so,we can talk to 4 dif schools in the morning and 4 dif in the afternoon and so we would talk to a total of 8 dif schools in 1 day in 1 city,hows that for getting the message across eh folks? Access Aids Sudbury in Need of Cash Injection

Donations to the sudbury regions access aids sudbury are required if we are to meet our obligations to our clients(me)and that in turn we as clients can do our part by going to these schools and talking about living with hiv_aids in a small community,I am also looking to recruit HIV + persons and all those interested can send a picture along with application as this time race does matter as i would like to have persons from all walks of life,this way we will ensure to get most of the audience to identify with one of the presenters,and maybe they will think alot more about living with hiv and allthe complications that arise from having the disease. 140 that attended hiv conf seek refugee status

140 persons that attended the International HIV-AIDS Conf are now seeking refugee asylum here in Canada,and are currently staying in hostels and any other place that will accept persons for little or no charge.I wanted to copy and paste the origianal story but it wouldnt work for some reason,anyways i thought this was news that should be reported so that they can get help,peace all,james joey gough,warrior in the battle against HIV-AIDS!

I am an HIV+ hep-c+,and have done many talks on hiv aids awareness and harm reduction along with safe sex condom use ,promote testing ,i usualy go do these at schools,group homes ect. i have recieved a girf and was thinking of purchasing a motorhome so that we could travel across canada doing talks on hiv=aids safe sex ect at schools ect. International HIV -AIDS Conference worth while or not?

How can you judge if it was a good Conf. or not? by who's standards are we judging?I myself think it was a huge success and brought alot of info to alot of peoples who are even still now digesting the mountains of material that was given to us,the average HIV+ dude or dudette"i think it was enough to keep me going till xmas "james gough was in attendence at said conf and mentions that the massges were great,almost felt normal again!My second day back of course i where my 20.00 t-shirt(thought they were 2.)lol anyways it was freaky,and even more freaky is that now i come home and find a 35,000 check on my floor at the door(neighbor was putin mail under door while away on holidays eh)i find out that i will be cut off of my income and a whjole alot of other bullshit that i never knew i had to do before,MONEY sucks,it brings about alot more responability then i knew or even thought of ,its gettin me so pissed that i want to rip that check into little bitty pieces,and just forget it ever happened at all,anmyways i want to make a film about hiv and the implications of a single wrong desision.I am taking my time with this as i am not sure how to go about this,i even wrote bill gates and thanked him and his wife for all they have done on behalf of hiv + peoples everywheres and well for myself as i am included in that type of humans infected and living with this virus,hiv,ken@poweredbyprofessionals.com

hiv hides in gut as well as blood

UCLA researchers have found the human gut to be a major reservoir harboring the HIV virus -- holding almost twice as much as a person's blood. In addition, the virus stored in the gut does not decay or reduce over time, as is also the case with blood-related reservoirs.

It is well-known that peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and lymph nodes are principal reservoirs harboring the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The role of gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) in this setting, however, had not been properly evaluated until now.

Researchers from the Center for Prevention Research and the UCLA AIDS Institute at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, in collaboration with the AIDS Research Alliance in West Hollywood, Calif., collaborated on this research.

The findings further confirm that HIV remains persistent and elusive, and that eradicating the virus using current anti-retroviral therapy alone is not enough. Despite using fully suppressive therapy, patients in the study still had evidence of persistent, steady levels of HIV in gut tissue as well as in the blood.

Authors of the study include W. John Boscardin, Julie Elliott, Philip Taing, Marie M.P. Fuerst, Ian McGowan and Peter A. Anton of UCLA; Michael A. Poles of New York University; and Stephen Brown of the AIDS Research Alliance. The study appears in the Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes, September issue.
